Dr. Mihai Aluas
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Aluas is the proud new owner of Cedar River Animal Hospital. He grew up in Romania where his love of animals began at an early age. After graduating from veterinary school in 1998, he and his wife moved to Chicago and started a family. In 2003, he graduated North American Veterinary License program at Iowa State University. He then returned to Chicago where he practiced as an associate veterinarian for 5 years.
Dr. Aluas is passionate about veterinary medicine and has a strong background and interest in surgery, pain management, and emergency and critical care. He performs a wide variety of soft tissue procedures as well as orthopedic surgeries. He also enjoys managing internal medicine cases or educating clients about disease prevention and the daily needs of their pets’.
In 2008, Dr. Aluas visited Seattle and quickly fell in love with the Pacific Northwest which is the reason he and his family decided to make it their permanent home. Dr. Aluas, his wife and his two children love spending time with their 10 year old lab who thinks he is still a puppy and taking care of their aquarium where they house a lot of fish! His hobbies include, fishing, snowboarding, and traveling, but he most enjoys spending time his family and friends!
Dr. Susan Min
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Min came to work at Cedar River Animal Hospital in April of 2017 after working at a 24 hour emergency hospital in Bellevue for over 12 years. Dr. Min went to the University of Washington for her undergraduate degree and attended Purdue University for her veterinary degree. Her special interests in the veterinary field include, soft tissue surgery and geriatric patient care.
When not working, she is busy spending time with her daughter, Tiffany and her 1 year old Pomeranian Frosty, a rescue from Korea with a broken leg.
Heather’s career in the veterinary field started in 2006, where she joined an emergency hospital and formed her passion to be in a fast-paced critical care setting. She established a wide knowledge base for veterinary critical care and was able to use her talents to help patients and clients in their time of unfortunate events. She stayed in the emergency side of veterinary medicine until 2015 when she made the switch to general practice. In 2016 the opportunity arose for Heather to become the Practice Manager here at Cedar River animal hospital so that is how she found herself here, however, Heather still enjoys medicine and helping animals so much she can still be found assisting in surgery and helping your pets’ every day.
When not at work Heather enjoys spending time with her two growing sons, Michael and Matthew as well as her cat D’artagnan and her Shephard Husky Mix Kane . When not at work, she loves going on adventures around the Puget Sound with her kids and enjoys cooking.
Loryn has been her for 17 years! You will rarely see Loryn at the front desk. She is primarily in the treatment room and surgical prep area taking care of the patients. Loryn is a very skilled and talented person who will take your pet’s Radiographs, place I.V. catheters, assist in surgery, monitor the anesthesia and hold your pet in her arms while awaking from anesthesia.
Another of the barking voices from our kitchen is her adopted Pitbull Cross dog named Quinn.
Kasi graduated from the PIMA medical institutions Veterinary Assistant program in June of 2016. She chose to perform her externship at Cedar River Animal Hospital and grew to really enjoy the staff and pets that come in. Kasi has a dog named Koda Bear at home who is a very sweet pup and enjoys being one of her family members.
Jill is our newest member to Cedar River Animal Hospital, but has been an assistant for 3 years. She has what we all like to refer to as her mini farm at home that includes 3 horses, 2 sheep, 9 chicken, 2 rabbits, 1 cat and her Labrador Retriever, Guinness. When not at work, Jill enjoys spending time with her 2 children, husband and really enjoys hiking, skiing and anything outdoors.
Kaelin started in the Veterinary field 8 years ago where she became a kennel technician. She wanted to grow in the field and after 6 years, she became a receptionist where she really enjoys being able to greet clients and get to know their pets. Kaelin has 2 dogs at home named Madox and Bandit .
Bethany moved to Washington in 2016 where she decided to pursue her interest in animals and become a receptionist at a veterinary hospital. Bethany has 1 dog Murdock a cat named Baby-T and a bearded dragon named Tapatio who she loves very much! When not at work Bethany enjoys playing with her pets and traveling.
