Dr. Mihai Aluas

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Aluas is the proud new owner of Cedar River Animal Hospital. He grew up in Romania where his love of animals began at an early age. After graduating from veterinary school in 1998, he and his wife moved to Chicago and started a family. In 2003, he graduated North American Veterinary License program at Iowa State University. He then returned to Chicago where he practiced as an associate veterinarian for 5 years.

Dr. Aluas is passionate about veterinary medicine and has a strong background and interest in surgery, pain management, and emergency and critical care. He performs a wide variety of soft tissue procedures as well as orthopedic surgeries. He also enjoys managing internal medicine cases or educating clients about disease prevention and the daily needs of their pets’.

In 2008, Dr. Aluas visited Seattle and quickly fell in love with the Pacific Northwest which is the reason he and his family decided to make it their permanent home. Dr. Aluas, his wife and his two children love spending time with their 10-year-old lab who thinks he is still a puppy and taking care of their aquarium where they house a lot of fish! His hobbies include, fishing, snowboarding, and traveling, but he most enjoys spending time his family and friends!

Dr. Tammy Majeski

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Majeski joined Cedar River Animal Hospital in the fall of 2019. She received her B.A. in History from UCLA and, after working in the health policy department at RAND in Santa Monica, CA, returned to school to complete her veterinary medical coursework. She earned her D.V.M. from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. Dr. Majeski has special interests in geriatric medicine, grief and loss/support, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and a growing interest in acupuncture. As an avid sports fan, in her spare time you may find Dr. Tammy rooting for all teams Seattle or dissecting an NCAA basketball bracket. She lives in Seattle with her wife and 4 rescue critters—dogs Jet and Otis, and cats Georgia and Louis. She is thrilled to be part of the team at Cedar River and looks forward to helping serve your pet’s healthcare needs.


Staff Lead/Veterinary Assistant

Holly has been in the veterinary field since 2012. She has completed a veterinary assistant program through San Juan college and is now almost finished with the Associate degree program which will enable her to get her veterinary technician license.

She also earned her associate degree in business administration in 2018 and is currently pursuing her bachelors degree.

Her favorite tasks at work include dental cleanings and lion cut cat shaves. At home, she has two cats of her own named Bosley and Mazzy. Holly has also developed a fondness for Chihuahuas over the years and has two named Tippy and Tiger.


Licensed Veterinary Technician

Sarah graduated from PIMA Medical Institutes Veterinary Technician Program with an associates degree. She has always had a passion and unique love for animals since she was young, which lead her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Aside from being a LVT Sarah is a part-time soldier in the Army National Guard. In her free time, you will find her volunteering at a local animal shelter, camping with her husband, or relaxing at home with her current animals, which includes Tinker the dachshund, Marlo the pitbull mix, Tasha the black cat, Sakura the bearded dragon, and two guinea pigs named Charlie and Darla.


Licensed Veterinary Technician

Kira Savage knew at a young age that she wanted to have a career in Veterinary Medicine. She is originally from Southern California and moved to Washington in 2012 to attend Washington State University. There, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science/Pre-Veterinary. After graduating, she decided to go to PIMA Medical Institute to earn her Associates’s degree and become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Kira’s favorite aspects of veterinary medicine include assisting in surgeries and making a positive impact on animals and their owners.

Aside from working, Kira loves to go to the gym, hike, camp, and hang out with her husband and their pug, “Mocha.”


Licensed Veterinary Technician

Amber graduated from Pierce College of Fort Steilacoom with an associates degree in Veterinary technology in 2016. She has been in the veterinary field for four years and loving every minute of it. She enjoys monitoring anesthesia and performing dental cleanings the most at Cedar River Animal Hospital.

Amber is especially fond of rescue animals. At home she has Artemis, her blind cat, Aestus, her three legged cat and Hestia, her cat with a broken pelvis.

During her free time, you will find her outside exercising, inside making jewelry, and spending time with her cats and family.


Veterinary Assistant

Liberty found her path in the Veterinary field in 2018 when she realized her passion for working with animals. She recently began working at the Cedar River Animal Hospital where her love for the job continues to grow with the fast-paced environment, the joy of helping each pet and client, and the endless support of her coworkers!

She is currently in the process of returning to school to complete a Veterinary Assistant program and in the meantime, gaining as much experience as possible in this field.

When Liberty isn’t at work, you can find her cooking spontaneous meals, painting and drawing pictures, throwing dance parties, or watching a binge-worthy TV show, all these activities most enjoyable with her amazing friends!

Fun fact: Liberty has never had a pet of her own but she absolutely adores cats and has unconditional love for chihuahuas!


Veterinary Assistant

Sydney has always had a strong love for all furry friends and always knew she wanted to help heal sick and hurt animals in any way possible. She started her veterinary journey in 2018 in emergency medicine as an assistant in a very fast paced and high intensity 24 hour clinic. She loved working in emergency, but loves the opportunity to build relationships with clients and patients in a general practice clinic even more!

Sydney loves singing, playing guitar, fishing, camping and all things outdoors in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. As a Renton native, she especially loves exploring the many restaurants in the area.

In her spare time you can find her exploring the PNW with her soon to be husband Chris and their son Noah. Along with their dog Bailey, an English Mastiff/ Lab mix. She also has two cuddly cats named Bugsy and Simba.



Vanessa has worked on and off in the veterinary field since 2017, working primarily as a veterinary assistant or a receptionist. After working in a clinic that did a lot of in-house laboratory work, she fell in love with the lab side of the field and is currently working to towards a career-orientated towards that portion of medicine. She is currently in the process of getting certified in phlebotomy and is working towards a bachelors in biological anthropology at the University of Washington.
When not at work, Vanessa enjoys hanging out with friends, being outdoors, and enjoying the company of her kitty cat Jasper.



Brittany has ways known she wanted to work with animals in some way and has worked in the veterinary field since 2014. Much of that time was spent working in emergency medicine where she first met Dr. Aluas. She loved the fast paced environment of an emergency hospital but was ready to make the change to a general practice clinic. She loves getting to know all the pets and clients that come into Cedar River everyday. In her off time she enjoys reading, camping and spending time with her husband, Mike, her 2 dogs Guppy the shar pei mix and Thor the lab mix as well as her 2 cats Bellina and Wrecky.
